New TI Calculator Packaging for 2025

Texas Instruments is making big upgrades this year to their calculator packaging.

For the last decade or so, the packaging you have seen TI calculators in at the big box retailers are called blister packs. In the consumer goods industry, a blister pack is a piece of preformed plastic sandwiched between a piece of carded packaging.

Over the next several months, you will see less and less of the blister packs, and more of the... drum roll... folding cartons! These new folding cartons are rocking a new design that really pops! They're much more compact as well!

When is the packaging changing?

The packaging transition will be a running change. Stock of the traditional retail blister packs will be sold through before the new folding cartons are brought onto the shelves. There may be a point in time when some models are in the new packaging while other models remain in older packaging.

Below, we've made a rough list for the release dates of the new packaging. Please note that these dates are estimates, and some may be released sooner, and some may be released later.

The Changes for Each TI Calculator

We've listed out every single TI Calculator model that will have the new & updated packaging, and what the expected changes are. Please note that there may be some small variations. As more information is released overtime, we will continue to update this post, as well as add additional images for comparison.

Scientific Calculators

Ti-30XA Calculator

We currently don't have images available of the upcoming Ti-30XA calculator's new packaging. As of today, we have the following information:

The folding carton will include an image of the calculator on the right side of the carton. On the left side, you'll see key features of the calculator listed along with the standardized tests that this calculator is permitted in.

The carton itself will be approximately 6.2 inches high, 3.3 inches wide, and 0.7 inches deep. The hanging tab will be approximately 1 inch high.

Important Note: Previously, there were x6 Ti-30XA Calculators in each case pack. With the new folding carton packaging, this will change. There will now be x8 Ti-30XA calculators in each case pack.

Ti-30XIIS Scientific Calculator

The folding carton includes an image of the calculator on the right side of the carton. On the left side, you'll see key features of the calculator listed along with the standardized tests that this calculator is permitted in. The color of the calculator will be listed in the left corner of the hanging tab.

The carton itself is 6.2 inches high, 3.3 inches wide, and 1 inch deep. The hanging tab is 1 inch high. Below is a comparison between the old and the new packaging for the Ti-30XIIS. 

Important Note: Previously, there were x6 Ti-30XIIS Calculators in each case pack. With the new Folding Carton packaging, this will change. There will now be x8 Ti-30XIIS Calculators in each case pack.

Ti-30XS MultiView Scientific Calculator

The folding carton includes an image of the calculator on the right side of the carton. On the left side, you'll see key features of the calculator listed along with the standardized tests that this calculator is permitted in.

The carton itself will be approximately 7.3 inches high, 3.4 inches wide, and 0.9 inches deep. The hanging tab will be approximately 1 inch high.

Important Note: Previously, there were x6 Ti-30XS MultiView calculators in each case pack. With the new folding carton packaging, this will change. There will now be x8 Ti-30XS MultiView calculators in each case pack.

Ti-34 MultiView Scientific Calculator

The folding carton will include an image of the calculator on the right side of the carton. On the left side, you'll see key features of the calculator listed along with the standardized tests that this calculator is permitted in. 

The carton itself will be approximately 7.3 inches high, 3.35 inches wide, and 0.9 inches deep. The hanging tab will be approximately 1 inch high.

Below is a comparison between the old and the new packaging for the Ti-34 MultiView. 

Important Note: Previously, there were x6 Ti-34 MultiView calculators in each case pack. With the new folding carton packaging, this will change. There will now be x8 Ti-34 MultiView calculators in each case pack.

Ti-36X Pro

The folding carton will include an image of the calculator on the right side of the carton. On the left side, you'll see key features of the calculator listed along with the standardized tests that this calculator is permitted in.

The carton itself will be approximately 7.3 inches high, 3.4 inches wide, and 0.9 inches deep. The hanging tab will be approximately 1 inch high.

Important Note: Previously, there were x6 Ti-36X Pro calculators in each case pack. With the new Folding Carton packaging, this will change. There will now be x8 Ti-36X Pro calculators in each case pack.

Graphing Calculators

Ti-83 Plus Graphing Calculator

While we don't have images of the new Ti-83 Plus Graphing Calculators packaging yet, we do know the carton sizes and case quantities.

The case size of three calculators per case will remain the same. The carton itself will be 8 inches high, 3.6 inches wide, and 1.2 inches deep. The hanging tab is 1.2 inches high.

Ti-84 Plus Graphing Calculator

The folding carton will include an image of the calculator on the right side of the carton. On the left side, you'll see key features of the calculator listed along with the standardized tests that this calculator is permitted in. 

The carton itself is 7.8 inches high, 4.3 inches wide, and 1.3 inches deep. The hanging tab is 1.3 inches high. Each case will continue to have 3 units in each.

Ti-84 Plus CE Graphing Calculator

The folding carton will include an image of the calculator on the right side of the carton. On the left side, you'll see key features of the calculator listed along with the standardized tests that this calculator is permitted in. The color of the calculator will be listed in the left corner of the hanging tab.

The carton itself is 7.8 inches high, 4.3 inches wide, and 1.1 inches deep. The hanging tab is 1.1 inches high. Each case will continue to have 3 units in each.

Ti-Nspire CX II

While we don't have images of the new Ti-Nspire CX II Graphing Calculator's packaging yet, the case size of three calculators per case will remain the same.

Ti-Nspire CX II CAS

The folding carton will include an image of the calculator on the right side of the carton. On the left side, you'll see key features of the calculator listed along with the standardized tests that this calculator is permitted in. The case size of three calculators per case will remain the same.

Financial Calculators

BA II Plus 

While we don't have images or dimensions of the new BA II Plus financial calculators packaging yet, the case size of four calculators per case will change to eight calculators per case.

BA II Plus Professional

The folding carton will include an image of the calculator on the right side of the carton. On the left side, you'll see key features of the calculator listed along with the standardized tests that this calculator is permitted in. The case size of four calculators per case will change to eight calculators per case.

Desktop Calculators

Ti-503SV

While we don't have images or dimensions of the new Ti-503SV's packaging yet, the case size of twelve calculators per case will stay the same.

Ti-1706SV

While we don't have images or dimensions of the new Ti-1706SV's packaging yet, the case size of twelve calculators per case will stay the same.

Ti-1795SV

While we don't have images or dimensions of the new Ti-1795SV's packaging yet, the case size of twelve calculators per case will stay the same.

How does this affect bulk orders?

When stock with the new folding cartons begin to ship, as stated in the post, the quantity of units in each case may change, but the accessories included, the calculators, and the UPCs will remain the same. 

These changes may lower shipping costs for bulk orders depending on the models ordered, as well as the size of the order.
