At face value, the answer is 23! (24 if you include the Ti-84 Plus CE EZSpot). There have been a total of 23 different Ti-84 Plus CE Colors manufactured by Texas Instruments. However, this ignores the fact that some colors, such as the Classic Black color, have come in two separate finishes. Originally, the classic Black Ti-84 Plus CE had a shiny finish. In 2021, this was changed to be a Matte finish, and the color was renamed to "Matte-matic Black."
To keep things simple, this article will go over what year individual Ti-84 Plus CE colors were introduced.
In its debut year, the Ti-84 Plus CE was offered in eight distinct colors:

From left to right, the colors are Positively Pink, Sliver Linings, Lightning Blue, Denim Blue, True Blue, Plum Pi, Radical Red, and Black.
Positively Pink, released in 2015, had a darker pink slide cover, with a black bezel around the screen. The reverse of the calculator was the same "Positively Pink" color.
Silver Linings, released in 2015, had the same slide cover that the classic black Ti-84 Plus CE: a light gray. The reverse of the calculator was the same color as the slide cover.
Lightning Blue, released in 2015, was the lightest of the three blues that year. The slide cover and reverse of the calculator were the same light blue as the front of the calculator, giving it a uniform look.
Denim Blue, released in 2015, was the middle-of-the-road blue in that year's line. The slide cover and reverse of the calculator were the same blue as the front of the calculator, giving it a uniform look.
True Blue, released in 2015, was the darkest blue available that year. The slide cover and reverse of the calculator were the same dark blue as the front of the calculator, giving it a uniform look.
Plum Pi, released in 2015, had a slide cover that was a shade darker than the purple on the front and reverse side of this calculator.
Radical Red, released in 2015, had a dark red slide cover that contrasted the red on the front and reverse side of this calculator.
Classic Black, released in 2015, had a shiny finish. The front and reverse sides of this calculator were black while the slide cover was light gray.
In 2016, Texas Instruments released two brand new colors.

From left to right, Golden Ratio, and Bright White.
Golden Ratio, released in 2016, came with a black slide cover. The back of the calculator was also black, along with the bezel of the calculator. Golden Ratio was the first Ti-84 Plus CE released that had a "metallic" finish.
Bright White, also released in 2016, broke the cycle of black bezels, and had a unique white bezel. The back of the calculator and the slide color were both the standard light grey.
The 2017 color lineup added four new variants.

From left to right, Count on Coral, Measure Mint, Galaxy Gray, and Bionic Blue.
Count on Coral, released in 2017, had a bright coral on the front with a matching slide cover. The reverse side of this calculator was a dark gray that matched the bezel around the screen.
Measure Mint, released in 2017, had a matching mint slide cover. The reverse side of this calculator was a dark gray that matched the bezel around the screen.
Galaxy Gray, released in 2017, was the second Ti-84 Plus CE released with an eye-catching metallic finish. This metallic gray was exclusively on the front side of the calculator. The reverse side and slide cover was a dark gray that matched the bezel around the screen.
Bionic Blue, released in 2017, had a bright blue on the front, reverse side, and matching slide cover. The bezel around the calculator's screen was black.
In 2018, Texas Instruments released a single new color option:

The Ti-84 Plus CE in Rose Gold.
Rose Gold, released in 2018, was the third Ti-84 Plus CE color released with a metallic finish. The bezel, reverse side, and matching slide cover were a dark brown / purple that matched the accent color on the calculators non-numeric buttons.
Two new color options were added in 2019:

From left to right, Matte-matic Black, and Tangent Teal.
Matte-matic Black, released in 2019, was a matte black on the front side. The reverse side and slide cover of this calculator were a light grey.
Tangent Teal, released in 2019, had a matching matte teal color on the front and reverse sides. The slide cover was a darker teal color.
The year 2020 expanded the portfolio with two additional colors:

From left to right, Trifecta, and Totally Teal.
Trifecta, released in 2020, is one of the most unique Ti-84 Plus CE Colors ever released. The bezel around the screen was white, with the keyboard area being blue. Both the back of the calculator, as well as the slide cover, were both a vivid green color.
Totally teal, released in 2020, has a metallic teal color on the front and reverse side. This calculator has a dark teal cover.
2021 saw two new additions to the line up:

From left to right, Infinity Iris, and Positive Coral-ation.
Infinity Iris, released in 2021, has a metallic light purple on the front of the calculator. The reverse of the calculator is also an iris color, but not the metallic finish. The slide cover is a dark purple matching the calculator's function keys.
Positive Coral-ation, released in 2021, has a matte coral front with a dark grey back. The slide cover is the same "Positive Coral-ation" as the front side of this calculator.
These releases round out the current collection of Ti-84 Plus CE colors, offering modern designs that continue to combine functionality with a personalized aesthetic.
From 2022 to 2024, there haven't been any new Ti-84 Plus CE Color releases.
The most recent additions, released in 2025, include:

From left to right, Trinomial Teal, and Fractal Frost, and Peach Pi.
Trinomial Teal is reminiscent of the 2020 Totally Teal, except this color includes a matte finish. The calculator also includes a white bezel around the screen. The reverse side of this calculator is the same matte teal color as the front. Perfect for those looking for a sophisticated, yet friendly color on their graphing calculator.
Fractal Frost is a metallic gray and includes the stand-out white bezel. The reverse side of this calculator is white, matching the screen's bezel. This color is perfect for those looking for super cool, futuristic Ti-84 Plus CE - especially if you loved the 2017 release of Galaxy Gray.
Peach Pi is here for those who miss the 2021 Count on Coral release. The calculator also includes a white bezel around the screen. The reverse side of this calculator is a nicely contrasting light gray color. Perfect for those looking for a cute, yet stylish calculator.
From 2015 through 2025, Texas Instruments has steadily expanded the color options for the Ti-84 Plus CE graphing calculator. This variety not only allows users to select a calculator that fits their style but also reflects the brand’s ongoing innovation in design. Whether you are a student, educator, or collector, understanding the timeline and options available can help you make an informed choice when attempting to pick out a Ti-84 Plus CE that matches who you are!
