Can the Texas Instruments Ti-84 Plus CE Charging Station transfer data to the calculators? - Underwood Distributing Co.

Can the Texas Instruments Ti-84 Plus CE Charging Station transfer data to the calculators?

It's a great question! Can the Charging Station be used to update the calculators or transfer files to them?

The simple answer: No.

The Ti-84 Plus CE Charging Station is meant to charge up to 10 Ti-84 Plus CE Graphing Calculators at once; however, there is no way to transfer data to all 10 handhelds at once.

To charge the calculators, simply leave them in the charging station until the charging indicator lights on the side of the calculators turn from orange to green. This can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on how low the batteries were.

To update or transfer files to the calculators, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure that you have Ti-Connect CE installed onto your computer. If you don’t, you can download it HERE for free.
  2. Connect your Ti-84 Plus CE Graphing Calculator to your computer using the USB cable that was included with your calculator. Ensure that the calculator is turned on and charged to at least 50%.
  3. Run TI-Connect CE and click on the "Calculator Explorer" tab.
  4. Select the files you want to transfer to your calculator by dragging and dropping them into the "Calculator Explorer" window. These files can either be programs, applications, wallpapers or other types of files.
  5. Click the "Send to Calculator" button. The transfer process may take a few seconds, depending on the size & quantity of the files, as well as the speed of your computer.
  6. Once TI-Connect notifies you that the transfer has been completed, you can disconnect your calculator and begin exploring the new files you transferred to your calculator.
