Using the Ti-84 Plus CE Online App in Your Classroom

The Ti-84 Plus CE Online App is a browser application that can be used in the classroom. It is a great tool to show many students at once how to use their graphing calculator, how certain functions look like when being graphed, and how to best optimize the settings on their calculator to properly display the function.

Once signed in, you will be greeted by a familiar looking calculator! The Ti-84 Plus CE Online App works pretty much exactly like a physical Texas Instruments Ti-84 Plus CE would.

A handy feature to use is the "Screen Capture" feature in the top-left hand corner of the app (it's a little icon that looks like a camera).

Any time you click this camera, a window pops up that allows you to take a screenshot of the calculator's "screen." You're then given the option to either copy or download the screen capture.

As you can imagine, this is an absolute dream for teachers who love using screenshots of their calculators in worksheets, tests, or even PowerPoints. That alone is a gamechanger in many classrooms.
